WEEK 3 JUNE 2011
Summer in London is always such a special time for me. Even though I have only lived here the past four years, I have come over for Wimbledon now for over 25 years. It brings with it so many special memories. Of course the highlight was seeing Pat Cash achieve one of his dreams and then that famous climb up into the box to thank us all. And then there were the tough losses seeing Pat Rafter lose two close finals to Sampras and Ivanišević, and more recently seeing some of my wheelchair players achieve their dream too and win the Wimbledon title. Over and above all that, is the opportunity to catch up with so many great friends and colleagues from all over the world who come here every year. It is a time I always treasure.
Gratitude is the memory of the heart.

I don’t know if Wimbledon’s seen anything like it. I don’t know if they will again. But it was just – it was electric. The Aussie crowd, I’m really proud of them, the way they conducted themselves. You know they’re great losers, as well.

The better part of one’s life consists of his friendships.
Abraham Lincoln
And here is one of Pat Cash’s favourite quotes
Tough times don’t last. Tough people do.
Count your blessings and live with an attitude of gratitude. Thanks to you all for the special gift of your friendship
