Consistently Achieve your Best

QUOTE 2, FEBRUARY 2013

It is now two weeks later and you should be well into creating your Extraordinary year. For all my new subscribers, a warm welcome and you can read the tips I put together for an extraordinary year in the last edition of Quinnessential Quotes by clicking on the link here.

It has been a hectic few weeks between the Australian Open Tennis and the Australian Ladies Masters Golf. I must say it was a nice change to walk 18 holes each day watching golf, after sitting on the sidelines through lots of tennis matches. A big congratulations to Shingo Kuneida (wheelchair tennis player) on his 6th Australian Open Singles title and 7th Doubles title. Another Extraordinary performance. People often ask me what it takes to consistently achieve your best performance so here are a few quotes this week that are some great examples of what has to be done to be a winner.

Repetition is the mother of skill
Tony Robbins
Are you doing all the repetitions necessary to be your best? If you are an athlete, it is said to take 30,000 repetitions to change a muscle memory. Whatever field you are in, keep practising over and over and over and over again and then some more!

The difference between ordinary and Extraordinary is that little extra.
What little extras can you add to make the BIG difference, to put the icing on the cake, to really excel.  Do it!

The only predictor of success is the quality and quantity of practice.
Matthew Syed
How do you ensure you are doing quality practices? What else could you also do? Mozart had received over 5000 hours of private tuition from the most noted teacher in Europe (his Dad) before he was 5 years old. Success comes from lots of quality practice. What are you doing to succeed in your field? What else could you do?

What are you doing to stay ahead of your competition?
If you do today what you did yesterday, you’ll be beaten.
If you do today what others are doing, you’ll be competitive.
To win, you must seek to do today what others will be doing tomorrow.
Rob de Castella

Napoleon Hill sums it all up well in the following quote.
Success is not really possible until you believe it’s possible. We often develop a myriad of negative beliefs, low expectations, fears and doubts that get in the way of our success. Your old habits are deeply embedded because of the time you’ve spent repeating them. The best way to get rid of old habits is to replace them with new habits…
Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success.

As I often say to my clients, make great habits and they will make you.

Have an Extraordinary few weeks and I will be back in your inbox in two weeks time.

Love and Blessings

Ann
