WEEK 5 – MAY 2007
It has been another fantastic week in London where I had the great honour to attend a reception at the House of Lords. It was wonderful to meet so many sporting colleagues and also Members of Parliament. I have thus chosen this week’s word as honour.
Probably no greater honour can come to any man than the respect of his colleagues.
Cary Grant
Honour is like an island, rugged and without shores; we can never re-enter it once we are on the outside.
Nicholas Boileau
The desire to win is born in most of us. The will to win is a matter of training. The manner of winning is a matter of honour.
Margaret Thatcher
Rather fail with honour than succeed with fraud.
Sophocles
Hope your week is both honourable and exciting.
Respectfully
Ann
