Nelson Mandela

WEEK 5 – APRIL 2008

Nelson Mandela remains one of the world’s most revered statesman, who led the struggle to replace the apartheid regime of South Africa with a multi-racial democracy. Despite 27 years in jail, he emerged to become the country’s first black President and to play a leading role in the drive for peace in other spheres of conflict. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993.

The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.

The first thing is to be honest with yourself.
You can never have an impact on society if you have not changed yourself…
Great peacemakers are all people of integrity, of honesty, and humility.

There is no passion to be found in playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.

As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

A good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination.

Have a great week and let yourself shine.

With love
Ann
