The 10X Rule

WEEK 3 SEPTEMBER 2011

I bought a great book last week in LA just as I was about to board my flight back to London. It was the 10X Rule by New York Times best selling author, Grant Cardone. The book is simply about what it says it is:  The 10x Rule is 10 times the thoughts and 10 times the actions of other people.  You never do what others do. You must be willing to do what they won’t do, with a grander mindset, more acceleration, and extra horsepower. Your thoughts and actions determine where you go! Here are just ten gems from the book.

Most people fail to set high enough goals. If you start small, you are going to go small.  Average goal setting will not fuel massive 10x actions.

Think of success in terms of expansion. Without continued growth, any entity would cease to exist. Winning at everything you involve yourself in ensures you will be able to expand.

Never reduce a target, instead take massive action.

Follow through completely – the great denominator of all winners.  They see every action through to completion.

Average means typical, ordinary, common.  Is that what you want? Average anything will never get you to an extraordinary life.

There is no limit to how many times you can take action. There is no failure unless you quit.  It is impossible to use up all your energy or creativity or the ability to dream or look at things differently.

The only way to increase time is to get more done in the time you have.

Fear is a sign that you are doing what’s needed to move in the right direction. An absence of fear signals you are only doing what’s comfortable for you. Wantto be scared so you push yourself to new levels.

Excuses never improve your situation. Excuses are for people who refuse to take responsibility for their life and how it turns out.

The 10X Rule requires you to take action in massive quantities and immediately. Every second you spend thinking is a second of action that you are wasting. You will be amazed at how much you get done when you quit thinking, calculating, and procrastinating and just get on with it and make it a habit of acting now.

My challenge to you this week is to think at 10X levels and take 10X actions. You will create more success than you ever dreamed of.

Wishing you quintessential success x10
