WEEK 2 MARCH 2011

507. That is the number of days from today until the London Olympics 2012 begin on 27th July.

I was fortunate enough last week to be taken on a tour of the Olympic Site.  It  is an amazing site that is slowly becoming a reality and is sure to be even more spectacular once it is completed with all the surrounding parklands and beautiful gardens that have been designed. Twenty-six different sports will be played across the Olympic Games. After a two week break, the world’s second largest event, the Paralympic Games returns to the country where they were born with 20 different sports. Here are a few quotes to inspire you to Olympic success.

The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well.
Pierre de Coubertin (founder of modern Olympic Games)

Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.
Gail Devers

The will to win is important, but the will to prepare is vital.
Joe Paterno

All winning teams are goal-oriented. Teams like these will win consistently because everyone connected with them concentrates on specific objectives.  They go about their business with blinders on; nothing will distract them from achieving their dreams.
Alexander Graham Bell

This week, I encourage you all to look into yourselves and find your own Gold Medal dream, whatever that might be, in sports, career, with your family, or whatever. The same principles apply. What could you achieve in 507 days? Dream BIG.

Wishing you Golden Success

Ann
