WEEK 3 – JULY 2005
“When I was young and free my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country.
But it, too, seemed immovable.
As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it.
And now as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realize:
If only I had changed myself first,
Then, by example, I might have changed my family.
With their inspiration and encouragement,
They might have been able to better my country and, who knows, even have changed the world.”
This was an inscription on the tomb of a bishop in Westminster Abbey.
It dates back to 1100 A.D. And nothing has changed!
What can you do TODAY to change? Decide right NOW.
Don’t even get out of your chair without deciding…………….
“Change is growth. If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always gotten. Be the change you want to be NOW.”
Make this week a changing and rewarding one.
