WEEK 3 – JUNE 2007
Back in London again for that famous tennis time of year with all the competition now centered on the beautiful grass courts here. Talking of competitions, how well do you compete?
Competition has merit. It compels us to test ourselves and to discover new things about ourselves.
We compete, not so much against an opponent, but against ourselves. The real test is this: Did I make my best effort on every play?”
Anyone can give up, it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that’s true strength.
Learn how to compete and still end the race as friends.
Compete to succeed and enjoy.
And don’t forget to expect to win!
