Japan Earthquake and Tsunami

WEEK 3 MARCH 2011

It has been absolutely horrifying to watch the devastation caused by the earthquakes and tsunami in Japan these last few days with more tremors and aftershocks still occurring and the threat of a nuclear disaster too.  Added to that, the food and water shortage is reaching crisis point and thousands are left homeless.  I was only in Japan two weeks ago and it is hard to believe, seeing the pictures of what once was.  None of us know what is around the corner.   Are you living your life to the full?  Do you stop and tell those around you how much you love and appreciate them?   In our busy lives, it is sometimes easy to forget what is really important.

Dream as if you’ll live for ever, live as if you’ll die today.
James Dean

Impossible situations can become possible miracles.
Robert Schuller

More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.
Alfred, Lord Tennyson

My deepest sympathy and prayers to all those who have lost loved ones both in Japan and New Zealand.  Make time this week to stop and reflect, and spend precious moments with those you love, for we never really know what is around the next corner.

Love to all
