QUOTE 13, JULY 2013
It has been an amazing few weeks here at Wimbledon. A huge congratulations must go to Andy Murray. Winning Wimbledon is regarded as the pinnacle in tennis and I was lucky enough to be part of Pat Cash’s team when he won back in 1987. However, to be British and win Wimbledon is on another level! After a 77 year wait, the crowd sure did roar. Knowing Andy and all his team, I was so happy for him. Here are some key messages for us all.
“It’s incredibly difficult to win these events. I don’t think that’s well understood sometimes. It takes so much hard work and mental toughness, to win these sort of tournaments.”
He said of his coach, Ivan Lendl, “He believed in me when a lot of people didn’t.”
“As a tennis player, when you start to hit balls at five years old and when you first turn professional, all you dream about is winning a grand slam. You think about it every single day. So when it finally happens, you have finally achieved something that you contemplated for perhaps a million hours.”
Congratulations also go to the Bryan Brothers who pulled off a feat that has proved beyond tennis greats such as Federer, Nadal and Djokovic as they won their fourth grand slam in a row to complete a “Golden Bryan Slam”.
Have an awesome week. Dream daily, never give up on that dream and get a great support team around you to challenge you, to inspire you and make you accountable.

With love and blessings
