WEEK 3 – JUNE 2009

I am now back in London for that wonderful tennis time of year. The weather is great and it has been a winning weekend for our own Andy Murray becoming the first British player in 71 years to win the AEGON Championships title at Queen’s Club. Many people are now talking about the pressure that will be on Andy leading into Wimbledon. However, pressure is something we put on ourselves. How do you cope in pressure situations?

When I’m under the gun and I’ve got pressure on me, I don’t panic. I look for the right solution, and then I go for it.
Magic Johnson

When you squeeze an orange you get orange juice because that’s what’s inside. The very same principle is true about you. When someone squeezes you – puts pressure on you – what comes out is what’s inside. And if you don’t like what’s inside you can change it by changing your thoughts.
Wayne Dyer

When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure.
Peter Marshall

Without pressure, the work doesn’t get done at all.
William Saroyan

Be a champion. When under pressure, be sure your thoughts are all positive and focus on the right solution. Make your week a winning one and shine and sparkle like a diamond.

With love
