In these quotes, you’ll find the essence of what it means to push beyond limits, dream big, and inspire the world.
CELEBRATE THE OLYMPIC SPIRIT

“The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle.”
Pierre de Coubertin, Founder of the modern Olympic Games.

“I have asthma, allergies, dyslexia, ADD, anxiety and depression. But I will tell you what you have does not define what you can become. Why Not You!”
Noah Lyles – after winning Gold in the Men’s 100metres.
Simone Biles Comeback at Paris 2024 was nothing short of extraordinary. After withdrawing from several events at Tokyo 2020 due to mental health challenges, Biles returned to the Olympics with the goal of redemption, winning three gold medals and one silver. She battled through so much just to give herself a chance. She inspired so many with her authenticity and showed the world, it’s okay to struggle, it’s okay to not always be okay. Through everything she continued to work even harder and fight for her dream. Here are some great words of wisdom from Simone.
.
Put Mental Health first
“I have to put my pride aside. I have to do what’s right for me and focus on my mental health and not jeopardize my health and well-being. Recovery hasn’t been – and still isn’t – an easy process. After all these years of putting the mental work in,” she continued, “it’s paid off.” That’s worth more than gold.
Have fun competing
“At the end of the day, if I can say I had fun, it was a good day.”
.
Keep Working Hard
“Hard days are the best because that’s when champions are made.”
.
.
“It goes to show, anyone can do what they want to do if they work hard and believe in themselves. And here I am from little old Launie, a town of 90,000 and I’m out here living the dream.”
Ariarne Titmus (The first woman in almost a century to successfully defend the 400m freestyle)

“This probably is the biggest sporting success I have ever had in my career. I love this sport. I don’t play it to only win the tournament. I play it because I really love competition. I love the drive – everyday, every week of training my body, perfecting my game, improving myself still at this age. This sport has given me so much in my life. I try to give back to the sport with dedication primarily and with the sacrifice I put on the court every single day when nobody is watching and I do it as hard as any young player out there in the world right now. I promise you that. I do it as hard and maybe even harder than anybody else. So this kind of success are not coincidences. They come as a result of incredible effort from my side and of course people who are around me. I don’t know about the future to be honest. I really want to be in the present moment to celebrate. I worked very hard. I sacrificed a lot to be in this moment. It was a long journey, many many years of dreaming to be holding the gold medal, so now it is about happiness, joy and celebration.”
Novak Djokovic competing in his 5th Olympic Games at the age of 37, finally won the Gold Medal
“The journey is the reward, not just the medal.” – Unknown Olympian
“Total Preparation is always key. I am going into these Games focused on my preparation, at peace in my mind, and confident and calm in my body.” Jess Fox achieved double Gold in Paris and won back to back gold medals in Canoe Slalom Her advice to all the kids – “You can be anything you want to be. You can be any of these athletes. Believe you can be whatever you want to be.”
“Every setback has been a setup for something greater.” – Unknown Olympian
“He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.” Muhammad Ali, Olympic light heavyweight champion, Rome 1960 . Congratulations to all the incredible athletes! You’ve shown the world that true victory lies in the courage to compete, the spirit to push beyond limits, and the heart to inspire others. You are all champions! .
