Can you believe we are now half way through the year? Often this is a time to take stock and set goals for the coming 6 months. Also be sure to take some to time to acknowledge all you have achieved. We get so focused on our goals and aiming to keep improving and reaching higher, that often we forget to stop and reflect from where we began. How often do you acknowledge yourself and celebrate your wins? Don’t just give yourself a pat on the back. Really celebrate and do something special for you.
In my work with elite athletes, I am always noticing how great they are at putting themselves down, beating themselves up when they lose a point, getting angry and frustrated at not doing their best and yet when they are performing great, you rarely see them doing the opposite and acknowledging themselves. As I say, you are outstanding at doing the opposite, so it is a really easy skill to develop! Celebrate the little wins, the things you did well each day, not just the results.

Remember no one makes it alone. Have a grateful heart and be quick to acknowledge those who help you.
