WEEK 1, AUGUST 2010
In my work with athletes, I am always noticing how great they are at putting themselves down, beating themselves up when they lose a point, getting angry and frustrated at not doing their best and yet when they are performing great, you rarely see them doing the opposite and acknowledging themselves. As I say, you are outstanding at doing the opposite, so it is a really easy skill to develop! How often do you acknowledge yourself? And I am not referring to just athletes!
It is already August. What did you achieve last month? What was your highlight? Acknowledge it, give it some thought and some power to motivate you to move forward.
Every waking moment feed your subconscious positive thoughts about yourself and your performance.
You need to be aware of what others are doing, applaud their efforts, acknowledge their successes, and encourage them in their pursuits. When we all help one another, everybody wins.
There are no limitations to the mind except those we acknowledge.
Acknowledge you. Appreciate you. Reward yourself and enjoy the journey.
