WEEK 1 – FEBRUARY 2006
CHANGE
Time for a change for this weekly quote! I am upgrading to a new mail server that is stronger and more robust and easier to use. Due to privacy regulations, you will be receiving a confirmation email asking you to confirm in the next few days. I understand how frustrating this is and would appreciate you confirming your subscription.
What changes do you need to make this week?
If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make a change.
Michael Jackson – “Man in the Mirror”
Instead of seeing the rug pulled from under us, we can learn to dance on a shifting carpet.
Thomas Crum
The weariest night, the longest day, sooner or later must come to an end.
When I was young and free my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country. But it too seemed immovable.
As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it.
And now as I lie on my deathb ed, I suddenly realize:
If only I had changed myself first, then, by example, I might have changed my family. With their inspiration and encouragement, they might have been able to better my country and, who knows, even have changed the world.

And nothing has changed!
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.
Rei nhold Niebuhr
Everything changes. Nothing stays the same forever. Doors will close and others will open. Barriers will surface and others will be broken down. Time marches on and our destiny marches with it. Change means growth. It’s a time for celebration and to move ahead.
Have a brilliant week.
