Fears and Worries

WEEK 4 MAY 2012

No matter your profession, your sport, or your circumstances, we all experience worry and fear at different times of our lives, and for some, it is part of their daily thinking! However, nearly everything we worry about does not happen. Would you pay interest in advance on a house you will never own? Of course not, and yet many invest so much time and energy keeping alive their fears and worries, most of which never happen.

Here are some great tips and some quotes to help you understand your fears, stop worrying and start living your dream.

Worry is simply allowing fear to triumph over what you believe.
FEAR – False Evidence Appearing Real

Worrying is simply a misuse of all your creative imagination within you.

Fear hinders us and prevents full involvement with the experiences we are given to grow on.

When you judge others, you are revealing your own fears and prejudices.

One reason people never attempt new things is their fear of failure.

Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood.
Madam Curie

Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.
Dale Carnegie
Procrastination and worry are the twin thieves that will try to rob you of your brilliance — but even the smallest action will start to conquer your fears.

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience by which you really stop to look fear in the face.                                                                                                   Eleanor Roosevelt

When you are grateful, fear disappears and abundance appears.

The major way to conquer a fear is to make a decision.                                               Reshad Field

The opposite of fear is the belief of a positive future. Create it in your own mind. See it, feel it. Dream about it. Create the action plans and make it happen.                                      Ann Quinn

Ask yourself this question:”Will this matter a year from now?”                                       Richard Carlson, ‘Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff’

Fear melts when you take action towards a goal you really want. Take action today and keep your head and heart going in the right direction.

And don’t worry. Be happy!
