WEEK 3 – JUNE 2005
Finally back home again. Whenever I am away, I always have so many special times with great friends. It certainly makes the world a small place and I feel so very blessed.
This week is a tribute to friends.
The world is so empty if one thinks only of mountains, rivers, and cities;
but to know someone here and there who thinks and feels with us,
and who, though distant, is close to us in spirit,
this makes the earth an inhabited garden.
When a friend asks, there is no tomorrow.
The bank of friendship cannot exist for long without deposits.
A real friend will strengthen you with his prayers, bless you with his love,
and encourage you with his hope.
My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me.
Wherever you are, it is your friends who make your world.
Friendship is what makes you think almost as much for someone else
as you do for yourself.
Genuine friendship is like good health;
its value is seldom known until it is lost.
Treasure your real friends.
They are unique, precious and rare – just like a beautiful pink diamond.
Look after yourself with care.
