WEEK 2 – MARCH 2008

Ohayo Gozaimasu (Good morning!) from Kashiwa. I always love returning to Japan. This time my focus is on helping the Wheelchair tennis players as they finalise preparations for Beijing. It is such a pleasure to work with such dedicated professionals and wonderful people. Here are a few more Japanese words of advice that apply to all of us wherever in this world we live.

We learn little from victory, much from defeat.

So, do not think in terms of Win or Lose, because you cannot always win.
Think instead of Learn, for Win or Lose, you can always learn.

There is no quick road to success. Be prepared to persist through some hard times, and you will outlast your competitors who burn themselves out with too quick a start.

Teachers open the door. You enter by yourself.

Have a great week.

With love
