Learn from your Losses

MAY 2023

Athletes either win or lose daily. To be honest, no one likes to lose. In a sport like tennis, you can actually win the majority of the points and still lose! Of course, winning is always the desired outcome but losing does bring many valuable benefits. Losing allows you to learn from your mistakes and grow stronger, more reliant and more determined. It also fosters humility, empathy, and a better appreciation for the effort required to succeed. Ultimately, losing can help us achieve greater success in the future. Here are some great quotes from losers from all walks of life!

LEARN FROM YOUR LOSSES

I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
Michael Jordan

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
Winston Churchill

Failure is another stepping stone to greatness.
Oprah Winfrey

I’ve lost a lot of matches, but I’ve never really lost. I’ve always learned something from it, and I’ve always come back stronger.
Rafael Nadal

The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall. I never lose. I either win or learn.
Nelson Mandela

In the greatest of defeats, you learn the greatest lessons.
Novak Djokovic

Discouragement and failure are two of the surest stepping stones to success.
Dale Carnegie

Winning is great, sure, but if you are really going to do something in life, the secret is learning how to lose.
Wilma Rudolph (Fastest Woman in the world back in the 60’s who overcame polio as a child and went onto win 3 Gold Medals in the 1960 Olympics in Rome)

When you lose all excuses, you find results.

Wishing you many great lessons and thus lots of wins!

Be Extraordinary!
