WEEK 1 – AUGUST 2009
I have just spent a few days in Nottingham at the Invacare World Team Cup, often referred to as the Davis and Fed Cups of wheelchair tennis. Almost 200 competitors representing 64 teams from 33 countries participated in the event. I never cease to be amazed at how hard these players train, the obstacles they have overcome and continue to face. Each and everyone of them has their own story to tell of turmoil and difficulties and seemingly insurmountable challenges. Ask anyone of them and they would not change their life. They live it to the full and never complain at all. Nothing is impossible to them.
Every obstacle is an opportunity. Every obstacle is a test.
Most see disability as the end of their lives, but it can be the beginning.
It’s a question of showing people what can be achieved and what we can do. There is nothing you cannot do. It’s all in the mind.
Peter Norfolk, World Number One quad player and double Paralympic Gold Medallist
When you believe the impossible, you open the way for the incredible to come true.

Tough times don’t last. Tough people do.
Everything always happens for a reason. Think like a winner all the time. Your heart and determination are bigger than any obstacle!
Have a great week.
