Retirement

WEEK 4 – SEPTEMBER 2007

Retirement

I was privileged this past weekend to be courtside watching Tim Henman play his last match on the hallowed turf of Wimbledon. Tim is a consummate professional and a class act and the game of tennis is the loser now that he has retired. That brings me to the word of the week – retirement.

Retirement, a time to enjoy life! A time to do what you want to do, when you want to do it, how you want to do it.
Catherine Pulsifer

Don’t simply retire from something; have something to retire to.
Harry Emerson

Age is only a number, a cipher for the records. ?A man can’t retire his experience. ?He must use it. ?Experience achieves more with less energy and time.
Bernard M. Baruch

And in the end it’s not the years in your life that count. ?It’s the life in your years.
?Abraham Lincoln

If you are contemplating retirement or already retired, rediscover your passion. And if retirement is a long way off for you, then rediscover your passion too! What would you love to do? Don’t wait to retire to do it! Begin NOW. Have a great week.
